Elite SA Social Responsibility initiative with Medipost and African Mosaic:
Educating High School learners on parental guidance skills
Medipost collaborated with Elite SA and African Mosaic on a corporate social responsibility project, situated in an informal settlement in Groblersdal. African Mosaic’s role was to supply guidance on parental skills to 600 high school learners who are without parents, raising their younger siblings. Elite SA supplied 6 security officers who were in charge of setting up and safeguarding the camp site and assisted mainly with crowd and entrance management, and also played a large role in helping the volunteers in ensuring sufficient water is available and, having the fire ready in time etc.
This was a lovely experience for all parties involved, as well as being able to transfer valuable skills and ensuring personal development takes place for those who are in need of guidance.
